VICTIM IN TUESDAY CRASH IDENTIFIED
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 65-year old Carol Barber of Wall was killed Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash north of Wasta. The Patrol says Barber was driving a Ford F-15o pickup north on Elm Springs Road 24 miles north of Wasta when she lost control on a curve, went off the road into the ditch and rolled.

DOUGLAS HIGH SCHOOL HOSTS FRESHMAN IMPACT: CAUGHT IN A MOMENT PROGRAM
More than 200 students from Douglas, New Underwood and Wall participated. Officially known as the Freshman Impact: Caught in the Moment program, students spent the day learning about the possible consequences of making bad decisions and the lasting effects of physical and emotional impact on their bodies, families and community.

DOUGLAS SCHOOLS SEEKING TO DOUBLE OFFICER PRESENCE
Douglas Schools want to beef up security and are asking the Pennington County Commission to help fund two new sheriff's deputies assigned to the district. "If our kids aren't safe there's not much else we can do," said district Superintendent Alan Kerr.

PARTS OF I-90 BACK OPEN IN WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA
State officials are opening Interstate 90 from Wall to Vivian at 11 a.m. CDT . Officials have also closed I-90 from Sioux Falls to the Minnesota border and I-29 remains closed from Summit to Sioux Falls.
