JUDGE DISMISSES NEWVILLE WOMEN'S SEX DISCRIMINATION SUIT AGAINST WEIS MARKETS
A sex discrimination suit against Weis Markets has been dismissed because the Cumberland County woman who brought it failed to comply with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission directives. U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann on Monday said it would be futile to allow Becky Barrick of Newville to file an amended complaint because her EEOC case is closed.

A flash flood warning has been issued for western Adams County and Cumberland County by the National Weather Service in State College until 6:45 p.m. At 3:44 p.m., Doppler radar indicated areas of heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in spots, according to the National Weather Service.

PENNDOT ANNOUNCES EXTENSIVE PATCHING PROJECT ON INTERSTATE 81 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation today announced that its Cumberland County maintenance crews will begin an extensive two-month patching project along northbound and southbound I-81 in Cumberland County. PennDOT advises drivers that crews will begin patching on the northbound lanes of I-81 near mile marker 55, between Exit 52 for U.S. 11 and Exit 57 for Route 114 , as well as in the southbound lanes from the Susquehanna river toward Exit 61 for Wertzville Road.
