POLICE: FOOTPRINTS IN SNOW LED TO BURLINGTON BREAK-IN SUSPECT
A Graham man was arrested and charged with attempted breaking and entering after Burlington police traced his footprints in the snow early Monday, Dec. 10. Bryan Keishawn Torain, 18, of 601 E. Hanover Road is charged with attempted breaking and entering, and possession of burglary tools. His bond was set for $5,000.

WINTER STORM DIEGO HITS ALAMANCE
Snow is falling and will keep falling in Alamance County as residents ride out what's now being called Winter Storm Diego. The Graham Recreation Center, 311 College St., Graham, has been designated as the primary emergency shelter, county PIO Michelle Mills said Sunday morning.

'TASTE-N-SEE' COOK PUBLISHES NEW BOOK
Graves, a former Times-News Cook of the Month, is known locally for not only her ability to cook, but to bake as well. Her first cookbook, "Taste-N-See - Desserts," was published in 2013 and featured some of her friends' and family members' favorite dessert recipes.

NEW ALAMANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONER, NEW INCENTIVE REQUEST
GRAHAM - The Alamance County Board of Commissioners plans to swear in new member Steven Carter and returning Commissioner Amy Galey, elect a chair, and set a date for an incentives hearing at its meeting Monday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. in the commissioners' meeting room in the County Offices building, 124 W. Elm St., Graham. The name of the company hasn't yet been released, but the commissioners are asked to set a public hearing on incentives for its meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17. The company's name will be available before the hearing.

GRAHAM'S 58TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE IS SATURDAY
Graham's 58th annual Christmas Parade will kick off a day filled with holiday activities in downtown Graham on Saturday. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at North Main and Parker streets.
